Kinhdo Restaurant - Uptown

First time here and immediately notice how friendly the staff are; the greeter and waiter were very hospitable and willing to answer my questions. Atmosphere is spacious yet homey, with pop music playing on a Friday night. The Hot and Spicy chicken wings were delicious—could’ve done with a little more salt though. And the Golden Curry was simple yet savory and satisfying. Overall? Solid. The Vietnamese mainstay of Uptown.

Good but not as great as I remembered. Beef and potatoes, spring rolls, and a uniquely breaded fried egg roll. There are other dishes as well, so if you are in the area, stop by and give Kinhdo a try.

1st off. EXTREMELY COURTEOUS. Both employee's we encountered were awesome. And they guided both of us onto fantastic tasting dishes, since it was our 1st time eating here. Marissa had the Chicken Pad Thai. Which she raved that it was outstanding. Waaaay better than Sawatdee's pad thai. She kinda puts everything against theirs. Well. I am willing to bet. You have taken that spot. I had the Basil Stir Fry. Insanely DELICIOUS dish. The basil runs pungent throughout the noodles. And the vegetables were crisp and tasty. I had gotten it medium heat. And they nailed it. Not over bearing. And not too mild. Just the right amount of "kick". We both guve this place a 5 star review. All aspects were 5 star. Food. Staff. Place. Over all. Well done. We will be back again. And again.

Nice family style restaurant located in uptown near lots of other shops and things to get into. Five minute bus ride into downtown Minneapolis. Very convenient location.

Kinhdo has been my go-to for many years. The food’s very tasty and satisfying. Portions are generous. Service is excellent and friendly. We’ve had nearly everything on the menu and never been disappointed.

Wonderful service. Food was meh. Ordered egg rolls (not your typical egg rolls but good) and the golden curry w tofu. It was a giant plate of tofu w tons of peanuts and very, very little sauce. Absent the peanuts, the dish had little flavor.

This place is good food for great price. We try to get here once a month or so. The cranberry won tongs are AMAZING! Lol, love the way the oriental lady's fold the takeout bag. Feed a family of 5 for 40.00. Cant beat that.

This restaurant has the best sauces in their stir fry dishes than anyone. The black bean sauce and the heavenly chicken are to die for. Great service too! Best Vietnamese I have ever had!
